Oman's Durri Space orders three optical ground stations from Cailabs
Cailabs won an order from Durri Space for three TILBA-OGS L10 optical ground stations in Oman.
Cailabs has secured an order from Omani space communications company Durri Space for three optical ground stations. Durri Space intends to operate an optical communications capability in Oman and will own the resulting network.
Cailabs will provide its TILBA-OGS L10 model, designed to support high-capacity space-to-ground links from satellites in low Earth orbit. It complies with CCSDS and US Space Development Agency standards.
Durri Space is part of defence and technology firm Enjaaz Group. It aims to support Oman's national space ambitions and provide services to international satellite operators. The partners also plan to support the development of talent and local expertise in Oman for optical communications.
Durri Space CEO Ahmed Al Fahdi said the company chose Cailabs because its technology is already proven in operation.
