NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman and other agency leaders outlined the agency's path to returning Americans to the lunar surface in 2028, in an update on 23 October.

Leadership gave updates on previously announced plans to accelerate Artemis, advancing toward the Artemis III test flight in 2027 and the Artemis IV Moon landing mission in 2028. NASA is working with industry partners to test critical capabilities and reduce risk.
