Satellogic signs three-year non-Earth imaging deal with HEO

Satellogic will image objects in orbit for HEO under a deal worth at least seven figures a year.

Satellogic has signed a three-year agreement with HEO for non-Earth imaging, worth at minimum seven figures each year. The agreement was announced on 29 October.

Satellogic will use its imaging satellites to capture images of other objects in orbit for HEO's non-Earth imaging service, which is used for space domain awareness. The deal covers the NewSat Mark IV, Mark V and Mark VI satellites, including its newest spacecraft equipped with an inter-satellite link.

The companies have worked together since 2020 and captured more than 1,600 images in the last year. HEO works with a number of satellite imagery companies, but Satellogic is its longest-standing Earth observation partner and gives it access to more satellites than any other partner.

"Our first project was a picture of the International Space Station," said Satellogic CEO and co-founder Emiliano Kargieman. "Six years and well over a thousand captures per year later, HEO has taken the capability and become a leader in NEI and space domain awareness."
