Es'hailSat and Arabsat have signed a strategic partnership agreement covering broadcast and satellite communications services. The two Middle East operators announced the deal on 29 October.

The agreement aims to reinforce the 26 degrees East orbital location as a regional satellite broadcasting hub by increasing the number of channels and enhancing content diversity. It also expands cooperation in satellite communications, VSAT services and connectivity solutions.

The operators will expand cooperation on the Unified Arab Bouquet broadcasting initiative. The goal is to use international satellite coverage to deliver Arab channels to audiences beyond the MENA region. Both parties will also explore advanced technologies to improve service quality, efficiency and reliability.

Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, president and CEO of Es'hailSat, said in a statement the agreement is "an important step toward cross-sector collaboration between Es'hailSat and Arabsat and leveraging the capabilities and expertise of both parties in satellite, connectivity and broadcast services."
