Eutelsat has signed a renewal with Antik Sat, the DTH television platform operated by Antik Telecom, and A1, a communications provider in Central and Eastern Europe. Eutelsat announced the multi-transponder agreement on 14 October.

The deal covers television services to households across Slovakia and the Czech Republic. A1 will deliver headend hosting, uplink and associated broadcast services. Antik Sat will use the platform to serve its growing subscriber base with a line-up of television content.

"This agreement secures the foundation of our Antik Sat television platform and ensures continuity for our customers across Slovakia," said Vlastimil Lakatoš, chief product officer of Antik Telecom, in a statement.
